3 Ways To Improve Your Digestion

Between work, household chores and taking care of a family, we struggle with finding time to prepare healthy meals. Poor digestion can even be a result of eating too quickly, which can become a painful and problematic situation if continued.

By improving our digestion, we can improve our overall well-being. We can begin to feel more energized, have clearer skin, lose the tummy bloat, enhance our immune system, and even improve concentration.

If you struggle with digestive issues, there are a few simple things you can easily incorporate into your daily life for improved digestion.

Here are a few of my favorites…

1) Chew more: Take the time to chew your food properly so that your stomach does not have to overwork to break down your food. Since chewing more requires more time, this can also help you eat less, as well. Eating too quickly often leads to overeating, as well as bloating and other digestive issues. So, chew slowly and thoroughly!

2) Hydrate with a splash of lemon and/or apple cider vinegar. Making sure you are hydrated on a daily basis is crucial to your digestion and overall well-being. Adding some lemon or apple cider vinegar to your water can help improve your digestion tremendously. It certainly does with mine!

3) Eat enough Fiber. Another way to improve your digestion is to increase your fiber intake if you aren’t getting enough. Fiber can assist with your digestion and also help with weight loss, which is an added bonus many of us wouldn’t mind!
