Finding Balance

I know how important it is to balance family, work, friends etc… in your life. Being a busy mom/dad or career woman/man its NOT easy. By the end of the day there is no time left for you and well that is just not acceptable!!

I have learned that saying NO is ok, I used to volunteer for everything and say yes to everyone even when I wanted to say no.. sound familiar? After years of that it just wore me down.. Then, I learned how to say NO, although it was hard at first, it did get easier and I liked it :)

Another thing I learned was how to block out time for everything. Again hard at first, but makes life so much easier. I now block out time for my workouts, work,family friends,shopping etc.. Don’t get me wrong some days you have to adjust on the fly and that is ok.. When I started this I noticed some things that I was doing that just didn’t do me any good, Pure waste of my time! like watching to much junk on t.v. or  playing angry birds. Oh come on, I know you have something similar right?  So I would do these things and say huh no time for a workout again, or didn’t have time to cook dinner lets get a pizza.

I Hope you will try to say no when you mean NO. Doing something just because you think you have to doesn’t do anyone any good. If you do not have time or you cant do it say no, you will feel better and I promise it will be ok. Whoever/whatever you are saying no to will be fine and it will get done.

Start blocking out time, even if you just start with finding something that you are doing that just doesn’t serve you anymore and replace it with something that will help you in your journey. Get rid of a show on T.V. that you really do not care about, and work out or read a book. You will be happy you did!!
